The Organization is continuously seeking qualified candidates for the position of Law Clerk throughout the state of Maryland. This is a full-time, at-will position with a salary range of $63,119 to $70,120 for non-bar members and $68,499 for first-year appellate law clerks. The Law Clerk position is an essential role within the Maryland Judiciary, providing legal support to judges in various courts including District, Circuit, Appellate, and Supreme Court. The Law Clerk is responsible for conducting legal research, reviewing motions and court files, drafting memoranda, and providing up-to-date information to the judge. They also attend court proceedings and perform various duties based on the level of the court. This is a challenging and rewarding position for individuals with a Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school and prior legal writing experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and provide up-to-date information to the judge
- Review motions and court files
- Draft memoranda and revise work product
- Attend court proceedings as requested by the judge
- Perform various duties based on the level of the court
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Prior legal writing experience preferred
- Knowledge of laws, rules, and court procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to perform legal research and read and understand law-related materials
- Ability to compose orders and memoranda
- Ability to apply policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and laws as required
Salary Information:
- Non-Bar Member: $63,119
- Bar Member in any State: $70,120
- Appellate Law Clerks (1st Year): $68,499
