Employment Attorney The candidate responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned): Drafting pleadings, motions/oppositions, discovery requests and responses, mediation briefs, and other routine litigation documents; Appear at court hearings and argue motions; Take and defend depositions; Experience with litigation in state and federal court procedures; Participate in the formulation of litigation strategies and have primary day-to-day handling responsibility for a limited number of cases; Draft settlement documents including settlement agreements, class notices, and proposed orders and judgments. Must be licensed to practice law and be a member in good standing with the California State Bar. Knowledge of state and federal court procedural rules is required. Should have 1 year of prior litigation experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook is required.
