Job Description:

As a Sr. Claims Counsel, you will handle a full case load of professional liability matters, mainly focusing on Lawyers Professional Liability claims. This includes reviewing and analyzing loss notices and claims-related documents, making coverage determinations, and providing legal review and policy drafting support to underwriting. You will also be responsible for attending industry conferences, possibly as a speaker or presenter, and publishing on current claim trends and issues.

Experience Required:

To be considered for this position, you must have a law degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in Lawyers Professional Liability claims handling or related litigation. Preference will be given to candidates with experience at both a law firm and an insurance carrier. A strong preference will also be given to those pursuing or having completed an insurance-related designation, such as RPLU or CPCU.

Salary Information:

The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $185,000, with actual compensation depending on factors such as location, qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. Our compensation program is built on a foundation of pay-for-performance, with higher incentive awards when the company does well and lower awards when the company underperforms.
