Overview:
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., the largest independent physician group in Florida, is seeking a Senior Associate Counsel to provide legal support and guidance on healthcare regulatory matters and transactions. This role involves advising on compliance with federal and state regulations, contract negotiations, and supporting the organization's strategic initiatives in the healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare regulations and laws, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on healthcare regulatory issues, such as HIPAA, Stark Law, and Anti-Kickback Statute
- Assist in negotiating, drafting, and reviewing contracts related to healthcare transactions
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support compliance initiatives and regulatory filings
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Monitor changes in healthcare laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance
- Support the General Counsel in managing litigation and regulatory investigations
- Provide training and guidance for staff on legal and compliance matters
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the bar in Florida, Texas, NC, Tennessee, and/or Georgia (preferred)
- 4+ years of experience in healthcare law, with a focus on regulatory compliance and transactions
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and laws
- Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively
- Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
