Epstein Becker Green, a premier law firm in New York, is currently seeking a talented and experienced associate to join our national management-side labor and employment practice. We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of three years of experience and a strong interest in accessibility and disability accommodation laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Handle litigations, regulatory investigations, and advocacy group interactions related to accessibility and disability accommodation laws and regulations
- Provide compliance counseling, develop policies, and conduct training on accessibility and disability accommodation issues
- Manage outside auditors for both physical and digital entities to ensure compliance with accessibility laws and regulations
- General employment litigation experience, including knowledge of federal and state employment laws
- Conduct tasks such as interviewing witnesses, reviewing documents, drafting pleadings and motions, conducting and defending depositions, and attending court appearances
- Communicate and collaborate with clients and opposing counsel
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience
- Strong interest and knowledge in accessibility and disability accommodation laws and regulations, specifically Titles I, II, and III of the ADA and the Rehabilitation Act
- Experience with Title III of the ADA
- Experience with accessibility auditing and managing outside auditors is a plus
- General employment litigation experience
- Strong academic credentials and excellent communication and writing skills
- Juris Doctorate degree and admission to practice law in New York
Salary Information:
- Expected salary range: $205,000 - $290,000
- Offers are typically not made at or near the top of the range
- Salary offers are based on various factors such as skills, experience, education, and licensure/certification
- Market and firm factors are also considered
- Successful candidates are eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to the base salary and employee benefits package
