H2: Seeking an Experienced Attorney in Cleveland, Ohio

Law Firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced attorney to join our team as a remote attorney with a minimum of 3 years of legal experience. The successful candidate must be actively licensed in Ohio and possess an additional license to practice in one or more of the following states: IN, KY, NC, PA, VA and/or WV. Our firm values independence, collaboration, creativity, and determination, and we are looking for someone who embodies these traits in their practice.

Our team is made up of over 50 attorneys, paralegals, and operations staff, all working remotely from various locations around the country. Our brick and mortar office is located in South Carolina, where our paralegals and operations staff are based. We pride ourselves on being a progressive and fast-paced firm, with a focus on Medicaid eligibility and reimbursement, administrative appeals, civil litigation, probate and estate claims, and guardianships. While prior experience in these areas is preferred, we value passion, purpose, and curiosity above all else. This position requires tenacity, determination, and perseverance as essential skills for the day-to-day job. We provide comprehensive onboarding, training, and supervision for all new attorneys.

Job Responsibilities:

- Independently handle cases from inception to resolution
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients based on initial case information and ongoing fact investigation
- Communicate effectively with courts, administrative offices, financial institutions, and clients
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, agreements, and security instruments
- Attend hearings and trials

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Graduate of an ABA accredited law school
- Minimum of 3 years of substantive legal experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with a remote team
- Energetic, disciplined, and self-motivated to work from a home office
- Highly organized and skilled in time management
- Persistent, resourceful, and proactive in problem-solving and analysis
- Confident and driven to take initiative and be accountable for case outcomes
- Tech-savvy with working knowledge of Mac/Apple, Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, and timekeeping software
