Summary:
Job Title: Tax Senior - Trusts & Estates
Experience: 3+ years in relevant tax experience
Time Type: Full Time
Salary Range: $76,000-174,000
Location: Flexible (in office, remote, hybrid)
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute client tax engagements
- Supervise other Tax staff assigned to Estate, Gift and Fiduciary client tax engagements
- Prepare complex tax returns for estate, gift, fiduciary, and individual income taxes
- Research and consult on various tax-related issues
- Review trust documents and other estate planning documents
- Ensure timely filing of tax returns and documents
- Respond to federal and state tax notices and represent clients in tax audits
- Provide tax planning and consultation to high net worth clients
- Identify additional tax planning opportunities for clients
- Keep firm partners and managers updated on engagement progress
- Stay current on technical and industry developments and standards
- Evaluate potential impact on clients' estate plan, succession plan, and financial situation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or a Business-related field of study
- Advanced tax degree (MST, LLM, JD) preferred
- CPA or parts of the CPA exam
- 3+ years of relevant tax experience in a CPA firm, professional services firm, tax consulting practice, or family office environment
- Strong tax technical background
- Experience with various tax software and research tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Prior supervision and evaluation of other tax staff
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to travel to client locations as needed
- Ability to work in the . without sponsorship
