Human Resources Compliance Manager: Essential Duties and Responsibilities

H2: Ensure Legal Compliance and Best Practices in Employment
- Collaborate with Talent Management Leadership to manage emerging risks and complex employment requirements
- Serve as a subject matter expert on HR compliance matters and provide guidance to HR team members and management
- Proactively research new regulations and laws to ensure compliance and make recommendations for the firm
- Stay informed on reporting requirements for Equal Employment Opportunity, Americans With Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, and more
- Implement new policies and procedures to meet compliance regulations
- Develop internal controls and policies to ensure compliance in all HR practices
- Conduct regular audits of HR processes and records to identify potential compliance issues and recommend corrective actions
- Provide status reports and analysis on compliance progress
- Develop, review, and update policies and procedures to reflect changes in laws and regulations
- Provide communication and training on legal requirements and changes to employment policies, processes, and procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of compliance activities
- Collaborate with other departments to create strong relationships and ensure compliance across the organization
- Provide support to HR Manager on employee matters
- Stay updated on regulatory developments and continuously seek ways to improve compliance programs
Additional Functions:

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development
- Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in HR and HR Compliance
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, recruitment, employee relations, and more
- Experience working with a corporate employment law attorney
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to think and act strategically and tactically
- Experience completing compliance gap assessments and implementing appropriate controls
- Ability to perform sedentary work and have close visual acuity
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary range of $125,000 to $142,000
