**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., a leading national law firm, is currently seeking a highly skilled patent agent with at least 6 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution to join our Intellectual Property Department's Chemical, Biotechnology, and Pharmaceutical Practice Group. This position is open to applicants in any of our US offices and requires a PhD in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and prosecute domestic and international patent applications
• Draft patent opinions in the areas of chemistry, organic chemistry, small molecule chemistry, or similar technologies
• Respond to Office Actions issued by the USPTO
• Conduct legal research and writing
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
Requirements:
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution in a law firm setting
• PhD in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a related field
• Strong patent prosecution skills
• Registered to practice before the USPTO
• Excellent legal writing and research skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Am Law 100 experience preferred
Salary Information:
• California: $225,000 - $275,000 (based on experience and other job-related factors)
• Chicago: $225,000 - $275,000 (based on experience and other job-related factors)
• Denver: $225,000 - $275,000 (based on experience and other job-related factors)
• New York: $225,000 - $275,000 (based on experience and other job-related factors)
• Washington DC: $225,000 - $275,000 (based on experience and other job-related factors)
Benefits:

• Pursuant to state laws, the expected salary range for this position is between $225,000 - $275,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
