Position Overview:
- Immediate opening for an experienced attorney
- Represents LADWP on legal matters involving customer service, data governance, and cybersecurity law
- Strong oral and written communication skills required
- Works collaboratively in a team-based environment

Responsibilities:
- Litigation and representation for LADWP's Customer Service Division and ITS Division
- Analyzing and litigating matters related to state and federal laws, including the California Public Records Act
- Drafting contracts, ordinances, settlement agreements, resolutions, and Board letters
- Arguing persuasively before courts, administrative hearing boards, and other tribunals

Requirements:
- 5 years of practice in California and Federal Courts
- Ability to review and draft legal documents
- Licensed to practice law in all courts in the State of California and the United States District Court for the Central District of California

Desired Qualifications:
- Strong civil litigation experience
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with public officials, departmental personnel, and the general public
