Location: Dallas, TX
Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 per year
Education: Juris Doctor (.) from an ABA-accredited law school
Experience: At least 1+ year of civil litigation experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Litigate and defend a diverse range of employment-related claims
- Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Take and defend depositions, and participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Provide strategic advice and counsel on employment law issues
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to deliver top-tier legal services to clients
Qualifications:
- Active membership in good standing with the Texas State Bar
- Strong academic credentials and excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to excellence

MHS is seeking a Junior Associate to join their Dallas office and work with some of the country’s largest employers. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney with 1+ year of litigation experience to grow their practice in a collaborative and supportive environment. The firm offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $160,000, commensurate with experience, as well as a transparent bonus program and comprehensive benefits package.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for employment law and experience handling various aspects of civil litigation. While prior employment law experience is preferred, it is not required. This position allows for hands-on experience while being mentored by experienced employment law partners.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Litigate and defend a diverse range of employment-related claims, including discrimination, harassment, restrictive covenant violations, wage and hour disputes, and agency charges.
- Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Take and defend depositions, and prepare for and participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Provide strategic advice and counsel on employment law issues.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to deliver top-tier legal services to clients.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and a formalized mentorship program.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (.) from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- Active membership in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
- At least 1+ year of civil litigation experience; employment law experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
