H2: Job Purpose

- Provide legal support to the commercial and industrial business unit
- Review, draft, and negotiate project agreements and documentation for distributed solar and storage solutions
- Support multiple departments and transactions, including M&A, financing, and tax equity investments

H2: Responsibilities

- Structure, negotiate, and review project agreements such as PPAs, construction agreements, and interconnection agreements
- Independently draft and review real estate documents and manage title insurers
- Advise and counsel on risks associated with financing and M&A transactions
- Coordinate with development and origination teams to ensure financeable project agreements
- Manage outside counsel and maintain contract database
- Identify critical project risk issues and make recommendations
- Work as a team and effectively manage resources

H2: Minimum Qualifications

- Law degree and admitted in California
- 5 years of experience in renewable energy, specifically in solar C&I matters
- Prior experience in developing and constructing energy projects
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and technically savvy

H2: Desired/Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with project finance and/or tax equity financing preferred
- In-house counsel experience preferred
- Training with a top-tier law firm preferred

- Base salary range of $160k-190k with corporate bonus
