The law firm of Borton Petrini is currently seeking experienced Civil Litigation Attorneys across the state of California. With multiple locations in Bakersfield, Modesto, Sacramento, Los Angeles, San Jose, and San Diego, this firm offers a wide range of opportunities for attorneys looking to advance their career in civil litigation and insurance defense.
As a Civil Litigation Attorney at Borton Petrini, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of cases and gain valuable experience in all aspects of the litigation process. This includes attending court hearings, arbitration, mediations, depositions, and drafting discovery and contractual agreements. While trial experience is preferred, it is not a requirement for this position.

Position: Civil Litigation Attorney
Salary: $110,000-$150,000
Experience: Minimum of 2 years
Location: Bakersfield, Modesto, Sacramento, Los Angeles, San Jose, San Diego
Department: Civil Litigation/Insurance Defense
Key Responsibilities:
• Attend court hearings, arbitration, mediations, and depositions
• Draft discovery and contractual agreements
• Conduct legal research and prepare legal briefs
• Communicate with clients and opposing counsel
• Prepare for and participate in trials, if applicable
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff on cases
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations related to civil litigation and insurance defense
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in civil litigation/insurance defense
• Admission to the California State Bar
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage a large caseload and prioritize tasks
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Proficient in legal research and writing
• Trial experience is preferred
