The Client Value Analyst at a global law firm serves as a business partner to engagement partners and their teams, providing pricing and budgeting support for clients, managing inventory, and offering insight and reporting on client and matter profitability. This role supports the firm's vision for global commercial finance by working collaboratively with all team members and identifying as part of the Global Finance team. The CV Analyst's responsibilities include pricing and budgeting, inventory management, business insight and advisory, and business planning and projects. The ideal candidate will have experience as a business partner in a professional services firm, knowledge of the legal market, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

Pricing and Budgeting:
- Provide pricing support and propose alternative fee arrangements
- Model staffing scenarios for efficient client value
- Develop budgets and forecasts for engagements
- Monitor actual time and cost investments against recovery

Inventory Management:
- Provide updates on critical areas such as time recording, WIP conversion, and cash collection
- Manage WIP and A/R, including addressing client queries and overseeing complex billing requirements
- Coordinate with partners for billing and credit control
- Monitor performance of the Global Shared Services team and work on process improvements

Business Insight and Advisory:
- Partner with key stakeholders to maximize Practice Group financial performance
- Suggest areas of improvement based on reporting and analysis
- Maintain an outward focus through networking and research

Business Planning and Projects:
- Support practice management with setting and monitoring performance targets
- Analyze resource management for practice groups
- Collaborate with other Business Services teams for service delivery
- Support the design and delivery of Finance projects and champion continuous improvement

Key Requirements:
- Essential: Experience as a business partner in a professional services firm, knowledge of the legal market, and excellent communication skills
- Desirable: Experience in a matrix structure and Global Shared Services environment, experience in a leading international law firm

Salary Information:
- Location-based compensation range: $100,000 to $140,000
