Job Summary
- Tax Senior Manager position with a focus on real estate
- Consult on complex tax matters and oversee tax compliance for real estate businesses
- Business development, team leadership, and customer engagement management
- Delegate and manage tax assignments and provide on-the-job training and performance feedback
- Future leadership potential within the firm
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with top real estate companies
- Collaborate with colleagues to offer business solutions and anticipate industry trends
- Perform technical review of tax returns and conduct tax research
- Review and analyze tax-related documents and partnership agreements
- Monitor customer engagements and manage workflow to meet expectations
- Provide performance feedback and training to team members
- Attract and retain top talent and grow a business network
- Represent the company in the business community and participate in professional organizations
- Give back to the local community through service
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law; Masters in Tax/LLM preferred
- 7+ years of public accounting experience, including managing real estate tax projects and engagements
- Experience developing team members and managing workflow
- Significant knowledge of real estate industry and entity/individual taxes, especially partnerships
- CPA certification required
- Leadership and project management skills
- Excellent communication and networking abilities
- Proficiency with tax software and technology
