Conflicts Analyst – Office of General Counsel – Full-Time – Philadelphia, PA
Law Firm Seeking Conflicts Analyst to Join Risk Management Team
Essential Functions:
Analyze and interpret search results to identify potential conflicts of interest.
Conduct research using internal and external sources.
Compose conflict-of-interest reports.
Review new client/matter requests for compliance with new business acceptance protocols.
Identify potential conflicts of interest and provide reports to Conflict Counsel and/or requesting attorneys.
Support the Office of the General Counsel and responsible attorneys in resolving conflicts.
Review complex search results and summarize relevant data for Conflict Counsel and attorneys.
Apply directives from managers, Conflict Counsel, and the Office of the General Counsel for processing new business and conducting conflicts-of-interest searches.
Identify parties involved in legal transactions and define relationships within the conflicts-of-interest system.
Escalate issues to Conflict Counsel or the General Counsel’s Office when necessary.
Additional Functions:
Assist with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
required; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience with conflicts-of-interest and new business intake processes in a law firm environment required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Familiarity with conflicts-of-interest and new business intake principles and tools such as Conflicts Management, Intapp Open, Elite, and Elegrity.
Strong interpersonal skills and service orientation.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
This is a full-time position in a clerical, office setting. Physical requirements include exerting up to 10 pounds of force and occasional walking and standing.
Visual Acuity:
Close visual acuity is necessary for tasks such as data analysis, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.
