Overview:

- Global team supporting Citi business lines, legal entity management teams, Compliance, and Regulatory Engagement teams
- Provides technical legal advice on banking & financial services regulatory change developments impacting Citi
- Advises on potential impact of new regulations to Citi business lines and legal entities
- Assists with regulatory change implementation and regulatory-driven business change projects

Responsibilities:

- Provides legal coverage in relation to major regulatory, transformational, and business change projects
- Focus on CFTC and SEC obligations for swap dealers and security based swap dealers
- Experience advising on broker-dealer regulations is desirable
- Strong knowledge of financial products and services (with experience working in derivatives)
- Understanding of commercial drivers for financial products and services
- Highly versatile with wide experience in private practice law firm and/or industry experience in financial services
- Cross-border transactional experience and experience working on large scale regulatory-driven projects is highly regarded
- Provides input into strategic decisions and develops proactive, risk-appropriate, and commercially business-oriented solutions

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of relevant industry experience, preferably in financial services
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for swap dealers and security based swap dealers
- Strong knowledge of derivatives products and associated legal documentation
- Experience in transactional work, including cross-border experience is preferred
- Knowledge of broker dealer regulatory requirements is desirable
- Experience working in a major bank preferred
- Experience in large scale financial regulatory projects preferred
- Strong project management and organizational experience
- Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
- Self-driven and able to manage and deliver projects in a fast-paced environment
