Summary:
Knight Nicastro MacKay, a law firm located in Kansas City, Missouri, is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal to join our expanding practice. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and analytical skills, the ability to work well in a team setting, and experience with analyzing medical records. Salary:
Starting salary ranges from $60,000 to $75,000 per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:
- Summarize complex legal documents
- Organize and index case files
- Conduct legal research and compile data with minimal supervision
- Analyze documentary evidence, including medical records, reports, depositions, and discovery documents
- Draft various legal documents, such as chronologies and summaries
- Prepare and handle subpoenas and other requests for information
- Conduct research on legal issues and witnesses, including social media and internet research
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts
- Assist attorneys at trials and depositions
- Prepare for mediations and trials

Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience with docketing, file organization, document management and production, preparing motions, and assisting with trials and depositions
- Familiarity with case management and time/billing software
- Knowledge of litigation processes and ability to work within deadlines
- Proficiency in e-filing, handling subpoenas, and responding to discovery
- Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage changing priorities
- Paralegal certificate is a plus
- Spanish fluency is preferred
