The Law Firm is seeking a Director of Research and Knowledge Management to join our team at one of our multiple office locations including Indianapolis, Madison, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Naples, Phoenix, St. Louis, Tampa, or Tucson. The ideal candidate will have a Master of Arts in Library and Information Studies or a similar graduate degree, extensive experience in research leadership roles, and strong technical skills with legal research platforms. A competitive salary range of $150,000 - $200,000 DOE is offered for this position.

As the Director of Research and Knowledge Management, you will be responsible for providing Knowledge Management (KM) consulting, services, and resources to the firm's Practice Groups and Administrative departments. You will work closely with Practice Group leaders and Practice Group Administrators to develop proactive relationships and collaborate on information strategies that increase productivity and enhance revenue opportunities. In addition, you will ensure that all research activities meet high standards of quality and ethical guidelines.

In this role, you will also be responsible for managing and coordinating the firm-wide development of all library resources and electronic information. This includes conducting regular meetings with PGAs to understand the information and KM needs of each Practice Group, analyzing requests for information and resources, and assisting with the deployment, training, and support of research and KM applications and services. You will also play a key role in developing and maintaining the Virtual Library and current awareness and dissemination services on the firm's intranet.

To excel in this role, you should have a Master's degree in Library and Information Studies or a similar graduate degree, extensive experience in research leadership roles, and strong technical skills with legal research platforms. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are also required, along with a strong customer service attitude. The ability to work well under pressure, problem-solve, and multitask is essential, as well as the ability to lead, train, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

As the Director of Research and Knowledge Management, you will also have the opportunity to serve as an ambassador, steward, and advocate for the Research and KM Teams. You will collaborate with other IT Managers to design and implement long- and short-term goals and objectives, and you will be responsible for developing and managing budgets for areas of assigned responsibility.
