Associate Attorney The candidate will be evaluating petitions/complaints to identify proper responsive pleadings and appropriate written discovery. Responding to discovery requests; good communication skills to correspond to counsel, client, and court; capable of legal research and persuasive legal writing, in support of motions, responses, replies, and briefs. Entering time in detailed billing entries. Preparing for, and taking off, depositions of parties and fact witnesses and expert witnesses; and Preparing for trial, including organization of exhibits and order of proof, drafting of motions in limine and trial briefs, and preparation of outlines for witnesses. Should have 2 years of experience in a litigation firm to defend clients in cases involving negligence, premises liability, product liability, consumer protection, and business matters. Must be licensed to practice in Texas state courts. Being self-motivated and a quick learner.
