The IP Docketing Paralegal is responsible for maintaining a historical record of service and filings, computing and calendaring due dates, and alerting attorneys and assistants of upcoming deadlines. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of US and foreign docketing experience, along with a thorough knowledge of US patent filing procedures and CPI & IP experience. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the Firm's computerized docketing system, including the docketing of all incoming mail and prosecution and interference due dates for US patent cases
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all data entry, including new US and foreign case data
- Clear due dates on the docketing system on a daily basis
- Generate docket reports as needed for attorneys and secretaries
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years US and foreign docketing experience
- CPI & IP experience required
- Thorough knowledge of US patent filing procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office and Word Perfect
- Ability to type 50-75 WPM
- High school diploma required, undergraduate degree preferred
