A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with expertise in international trade to join its Corporate Services Group in Saint Louis, MO. This role offers the chance to work alongside seasoned legal professionals in a collaborative and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will bring specialized knowledge of . export controls, customs regulations, economic sanctions, and related compliance laws.

Duties

• Manage multiple legal matters simultaneously, from inception to resolution.
• Provide strategic guidance and handle high-level aspects of international trade compliance and regulatory matters.
• Prepare and deliver quality legal advice in a timely and efficient manner.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to address complex legal challenges.
• Adhere to the highest professional and ethical standards while providing exceptional client service.
• Contribute to business development initiatives through teamwork and individual efforts.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in . export controls, customs compliance, economic sanctions, embargoed country transactions, anti-boycott laws, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).
• Preferred Experience: 4+ years as a licensed attorney at a law firm.
• Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to work independently and efficiently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in good standing in one or more jurisdictions where the firm operates.
• Compliance with continuing legal education (CLE) requirements and license renewal obligations.
