This team is responsible for recruiting and hiring attorneys, summer associates, and law clerks for all six office locations, including Seattle, Spokane, Portland, New York, Tulsa, and Washington, . The Legal Recruiting Coordinator will support this team and assist with the interview process, recruiting events, and professional development workshops.
Position Summary:
The Legal Recruiting Coordinator's main responsibility is to support the Legal Recruiting & Professional Development department and related committees. This role involves implementing the interview process for law students and lateral hires, organizing recruiting events, and managing the Summer Associate Program and professional development workshops. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, committed, and dedicated to helping Foster Garvey continue to hire excellent attorneys.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the overall administration of the full-cycle attorney recruiting process for the firm
• Serve as the initial point of contact for recruiting inquiries from attorneys and law students
• Prepare interview schedules and candidate packets; maintain schedules and calendars
• Assist in planning, coordinating, and staffing recruiting events and special projects
• Enter and update candidate information in LawCruit and other software platforms, including Smartsheet
• Provide administrative support to the Director of Legal Talent & Professional Development
• Implement and help execute the annual Summer Associate program
• Assist with the work assignment process for summer associates
• Help maintain and execute the attorney mentorship program
• Act as a resource to summer associates
• Monitor recruiting metrics and prepare relevant reports and presentations
• Build relationships with key recruiting contacts in regional markets
• Support the planning and execution of the Fall On-Campus Interviewing season
• Track and manage candidates throughout the recruiting process
• Help manage attorney onboarding
• Serve as the relationship manager with key contacts at law schools
• Involvement in team projects, including marketing and social media initiatives
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
• from a four-year college or university
• Minimum of 2+ years of relative recruiting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to take initiative and interact effectively with all levels of firm management and staff
• Capability to exercise sound judgment and work well under pressure
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
• Proficiency with Lawcruit, Symplicity, iManage Document Management System, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $68,000 annually. This may vary depending on the candidate's education, training, experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
