These positions provide valuable experience in legal research, writing, case review, and appellate practice. Law clerks will also have the opportunity to attend oral arguments, trials, depositions, and hearings, providing a comprehensive understanding of the justice system.
Positions Available:
- Paid and unpaid clerkships available
- Some students may be eligible for course credit through their law school
- Summer hiring process begins in January
Bureau Assignments:
- Consumer Protection Bureau
- Criminal Bureau
- Civil Litigation Bureau
- Child Welfare and Child Support Bureau
- Medicaid Fraud and Patient Abuse Unit
Responsibilities:
- Conducting legal research
- Writing legal briefs and memos
- Reviewing cases
- Assisting with appellate practice
- Attending oral arguments, trials, depositions, and hearings
- Gaining insight into the workings of the justice system
Requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled in law school
- Strong academic record
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
