Job Title: Manager - Tax Technology & Transformation - Indirect Tax

Job Responsibilities:
The role of Manager in the Tax Technology & Transformation division for Indirect Tax at the company involves several key responsibilities. The primary focus is on helping client tax departments operate at peak efficiency and productivity, thereby positioning them to capitalize on tax-saving opportunities that might otherwise go unnoticed. A crucial aspect of this role is transferring control of tax decision-making from transaction processing personnel and external vendors to the tax specialists within the client's tax department. The responsibilities include:

- Leading a team, mentoring counselees, and managing client-serving business.
- Documenting and reviewing current state tax processes and controls to identify opportunities for enhancement.
- Supporting the development of a business case to justify tax process enhancement solutions.
- Providing support during the indirect tax software/vendor selection process.
- Documenting tax data requirements.
- Implementing automated indirect tax calculation and compliance solutions.
- Supporting the development of data analytics solutions focused on indirect tax.
- Supporting the implementation of global digital tax reporting solutions.

Education and Experience Information:
To qualify for the Manager position in Tax Technology & Transformation for Indirect Tax, candidates must possess:

- An undergraduate emphasis in accounting with approximately six years of related work experience in indirect tax process improvement or equivalent experience in business or industry; alternatively, a master's degree with approximately four years of related work experience is preferred.
- Approved technical certification, CPA license, or membership to the state Bar, or progress towards attaining these credentials.
- Experience in indirect tax (Sales/Use Tax, VAT) and/or corporate indirect tax compliance is preferred.
- Excellent managerial, leadership, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.
- The ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
- Relevant experience in one or more specialty areas, including indirect tax software products like Vertex, ONESOURCE (fka, Sabrix), Avalara, ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, etc., and procurement systems like Ariba, Coupa, etc.

Salary Information:

The base salary range for this position across all geographic locations in the US is $124,200 to $227,800. For the New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento), the salary range is $149,100 to $258,800. Individual salaries within these ranges are determined by various factors, including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. Additionally, the company's Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and various paid time off options. Employees are expected to work together in person 40-60% of the time for external, client-serving roles, following a team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model.
