This is a full-time position for an Associate Attorney specializing in Condominium and Homeowner Associations with at least 3 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in representing directors and officers of Not-For-Profit Corporations, as well as experience defending claims related to professional negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, discrimination, and other tort claims. This is a great opportunity for an attorney looking to work on diverse and complex legal matters for sophisticated clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent directors and officers of Not-For-Profit Corporations, including Condominium and Homeowner Associations.
- Defend claims based on professional negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, discrimination and harassment, breach of contract, general negligence and other tort claims.
- Negotiate resolutions of disputes between owners and boards of directors.
- Familiarity with Community Association governing documents (Declarations, Bylaws, Rules and Regulations), as well as the Illinois statutes pertaining to them.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience representing directors and officers of Not-For-Profit Corporations, including Condominium and Homeowner Associations.
- Bar admission in the State of Illinois.
- Familiarity with Community Association governing documents and statutes.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle complex and sophisticated legal matters.
