Overview:

- Orrick, a global law firm with offices in 25+ markets worldwide, is seeking a Sector Analyst to join their team.
- This position could be based in any of their . offices or considered for 100% remote work.
- As a Sector Analyst, you will support the firm's strategy regarding sector understanding and development.
- Your role will involve developing models and products to help the Market Intelligence and Practices teams stay abreast of sector and market changes.
- This is a regular full-time position for experienced professionals.

Responsibilities:

- Research and analyze legal, geopolitical, and economic issues affecting chosen sectors.
- Produce detailed and insightful research to support thought leadership initiatives.
- Stay informed of industry developments and interpret complex data sets to identify opportunities.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and collaborate with other departments within the firm.
- Utilize analytical tools to create dynamic reports and dashboards.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in consultancy, professional services, investment banking, or corporate strategy.
- Strong writing and numerical skills, with the ability to present data effectively.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships and have credibility as an expert.
- Experience creating reports using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strategic mindset with a proactive approach and ability to manage workload.
- 5+ years of relevant research experience.
