Job Description:
Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP is seeking a Legal Practice Assistant to support the Litigation practice group. This position will report to the Manager of Legal Practice Support and will provide administrative and substantive legal support to the Litigation team. The Legal Practice Assistant will have the opportunity to participate in the ML LawPath® program, which combines practical training, professional development, and client interaction to fast track your legal career.
Responsibilities:
• Establish and maintain case and client files.
• Manage case and client information through electronic databases.
• Coordinate the gathering of information and materials for discovery.
• Assist with drafting and proofreading legal documents.
• Support the development and management of case and practice group timelines.
• Participate in research and analysis for class actions and other matters.
• Coordinate communication and planning among attorney teams.
• Assist with document production and distribution.
• Participate in fact investigation and research.
• Provide administrative support, including document production and client communication.
• Coordinate day-to-day client management.
• Participate in client communications and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• One (1) year of internship or professional experience preferred.
• Independent, self-starting, and self-motivated.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organization skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Flexibility to travel and work evening hours as needed.
Salary Information:
• Seattle, WA: $55, - $88,
• New York, NY: $57, - $92,
• Washington, .: $53, - $85,
• Salary will be determined during the interview process and may vary based on experience and market factors.
• Eligible for annual discretionary bonus.
