IT Support Specialist Job Summary:
Traub Lieberman, a national law firm with over 90 attorneys in 7 offices across the United States, is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our growing team in St. Petersburg, Florida. In this role, you will provide on-site and remote technical support to attorneys and staff, maintain and troubleshoot firm systems, and participate in projects related to our overall infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:
• Act as primary point of contact for IT-related issues, providing exceptional customer service through phone, email, and in-person support.
• Deploy and configure new computers and software, set up user accounts, and provide training on system functionality.
• Ensure accurate documentation of tickets, issues, and troubleshooting steps in the IT service management system.
• Become a subject matter expert on internal systems and applications, maintaining and updating internal documentation.
• Perform maintenance on hardware, software, and networking equipment.
• Provide end-user support for applications, operating systems, and technical issues.
• Monitor servers, network connectivity, phone systems, virus protection, and other security technologies.
• Collaborate with Managed Service Providers on new hardware, software, and system upgrades.
• Set up domains, application logins, email accounts, and devices for new employees.
• Provide onboarding support and training for new hires.
• Maintain disaster recovery documentation and ensure systems are backed up and recoverable.
• Safeguard the confidentiality and integrity of client and company information.
• Contribute to the security and reliability of client systems and firm-wide infrastructure.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall functionality of the IT department.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Proficient with Microsoft operating systems, Office applications, Server, and Active Directory.
• Strong understanding of current and emerging PC, mobile, and tablet technologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve technical issues promptly and effectively.
• Extensive experience providing application support, particularly in a legal environment.
• Strong multitasking, time management, and prioritization abilities.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical teams and end-users.
• Goal-oriented, organized, and a collaborative team player.
• Microsoft or other relevant IT certifications preferred.
• Experience with IT ticketing systems, VoIP systems, and legal software such as iManage and Worldox.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and contribute suggestions for improvement.
• Basic understanding of network troubleshooting and security.
• Experience with audio/visual conferencing tools, specifically Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of four years of relevant experience in IT support or similar role.
• Experience in a law firm environment preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods, bend, and lift equipment.
