The Corporate Counsel will play a vital role in providing legal advice and solutions to our firm, as well as overseeing specific subject areas. This position will report to our Chief Legal Officer and work closely with our partners, management, and all functional areas. If you have a strong ability to manage workload and prioritize work, along with a high level of M&A experience, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Provide general and strategic counsel to the firm
Support the firm's quality control mission
Work on strategic initiatives with the Chief Legal Officer
Monitor privacy laws and data security requirements
Manage outside counsel usage
Understand and manage business risks to craft legal solutions
Advise on laws, regulations, and professional standards
Draft, revise, and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and third parties

Qualifications:

Juris Doctorate
10+ years of experience in a legal role

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in professional liability claims, employment law, IP law, bankruptcy law, M&A, or financial regulatory matters
Admission to state bar in good standing in a state where Forvis Mazars has an office
