Senior Business Development Manager - Antitrust Practice

Law Firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to lead and drive business development efforts in the Antitrust practice. This role offers the unique opportunity to work with a dynamic and collaborative team, while also having the flexibility to be based in either New York, Washington DC, or Philadelphia.
The Senior Business Development Manager will work closely with the Antitrust practice, as well as other cross-practice and industry-focused groups, to develop and implement business development strategies, drive branding and marketing initiatives, and support day-to-day activities. This role will also serve as a trusted advisor to Practice Group Leaders, partners, and other attorneys to support client retention and expansion.
This position will collaborate with various teams within the firm, including Marketing, research, pricing, finance, and diversity and inclusion, to execute on practice group and firm priorities. The Senior Business Development Manager will also have the opportunity to work on multidisciplinary opportunities and contribute to department-wide initiatives to improve the overall marketing function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with practice chairs and key stakeholders
- Develop annual strategic marketing and business development plans and budget
- Create and manage client-centric and data-driven marketing campaigns
- Provide strategic business development advice and guidance to the Antitrust practice
- Drive submissions for awards and directories to showcase the firm's capabilities and successes
- Understand clients' business goals and market dynamics to develop effective messaging and go-to-market strategies
- Bring new ideas and proven approaches to elevate the firm's brand
- Conduct research and analysis to identify business opportunities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop pitch strategies and provide necessary research and preparation
- Plan and execute practice-related events, including budget and agenda development
- Identify and oversee conference and sponsorship opportunities
- Develop compelling marketing collateral and materials
- Lead the onboarding and integration of key laterals and their client base
- Manage and mentor business professionals
- Contribute to department-wide initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, JD or MBA strongly preferred
- 9+ years of marketing experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong relationship building and leadership skills
- Commercial sense and understanding of attorney and client needs
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
- Sound judgment and ability to handle confidential information
- Experience in mentoring and developing others
- Knowledge of legal and business environments
Additional Information:
- Salary range for this position in New York is $150, to $200, annually
- Actual compensation will be based on experience and location
- Full-time position with flexible location options (New York, Washington DC, or Philadelphia)
