Role Overview:
The Senior Tax Analyst, Tax Research & Content is responsible for researching, configuring, maintaining, enhancing, and testing ONESOURCE™ applications to ensure compliance with tax rules and laws in complex and demanding jurisdictions. This role is available in four locations across the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert and project point person for Tax Research & Content on projects and initiatives
- Develop training materials and provide training and mentoring to Tax Research & Content Associates and Analysts
- Research, analyze, interpret, and document tax laws and regulations in a variety of industries and jurisdictions
- Stay ahead of changes in laws and regulations by anticipating and assessing the impact of proposed regulatory developments
- Model and implement support for new tax regimes, implement content changes, and meet prescribed content deadlines
- Design and execute test scenarios to ensure content accuracy, functionality, and usability
- Correspond with tax authorities on complex and contradictory matters
- Research, respond, and resolve client issues in partnership with Customer Support
- Contribute to the development of requirements for tax application features and functionality with Product Management
- Provide recommendations on complex geospatial, tax, and legal issues and communicate them clearly to non-tax/GIS professionals
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of indirect tax experience
- 2+ years of experience with tax calculation and compliance software, such as ONESOURCE™
- Experience communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret, analyze, and organize complex legal material
- Familiarity with online research tools, such as Checkpoint, Tax Analysts, and WestLaw
- Ability to consistently meet strict deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write white papers on tax and technical subjects
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Intermediate to advanced software skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access
- Ability to work and learn independently with minimal supervision
- Fluency in written and spoken English
Desired Skills:
- Experience working for a public accounting firm or corporate tax department
- Fluency in languages other than English
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or JD, LLM, MBA, or CPA/Chartered Tax Adviser

Compensation:

The base compensation range for this role varies based on location and factors such as knowledge, skills, and experience. For eligible office locations in the United States, the base compensation range is $72,100 - $133,900, with the potential for an Annual Bonus based on enterprise and individual performance.
