Reputed Firm is seeking two highly qualified individuals for the position of Assistant General Counsel at their Charleston Campus location in Southern Nevada. This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $135,821.

Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the College in all legal matters and provide legal advice to senior academic and administrative officers
- Manage outside counsel, litigation, and agency complaints
- Interpret legal framework and provide policy advice in various areas such as employment law, student affairs, intellectual property, and more
- Litigate on behalf of the College in state and federal courts and administrative agencies
- Conduct research, provide pre-litigation services, and advise on compliance with state and federal laws
- Collaborate with General Counsel to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures
- Handle work duties and client interactions in a manner that builds confidence in the Office of General Counsel
- Proactively identify legal issues and develop practical solutions
- Mentor and guide junior legal staff and contribute to overall legal strategy of the institution

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school
- Admission to the Nevada State Bar in good standing
- 4 years of legal practice or relevant experience in areas such as labor and employment, academic and educational affairs, and compliance
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of litigation processes, contract law, regulatory compliance, risk management, and employment law
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Commitment to ethical conduct and maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 or more years of legal experience in higher education and/or government law
- Knowledge of Nevada Public Records and Open Meeting Law
- Understanding of legal issues unique to academic institutions
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing legal landscapes
