This position is ideal for an attorney with experience in residential and commercial real estate transactions. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the closing process, working with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders, and ensuring seamless execution of real estate deals. Duties:

  • Manage residential and commercial real estate transactions, including sales, refinances, and lease agreements.
  • Review and resolve title issues to ensure clear property ownership for all transactions.
  • Collaborate with lenders, brokers, agents, buyers, and sellers to facilitate smooth real estate transactions.
  • Draft and review essential loan documents, such as contracts, deeds, leases, and purchase agreements.
  • Provide a positive, professional, and engaging experience for clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during the process.
  • Oversee the review of disbursement ledgers and approve necessary payments.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong business relationships to support growth opportunities for the firm.
  • Educate clients and provide training on key aspects of real estate law relevant to their transactions.

Requirements:

  • Preferred experience in residential real estate transactions, though training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Must be a member in good standing with the South Carolina State Bar.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Proactive, self-starter mentality with a willingness to engage in community activities and drive results.
  • A growth-oriented mindset with a focus on expanding knowledge in residential real estate law.
  • Proven strong work ethic, demonstrated in academic achievements and professional history.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member of the South Carolina State Bar (or eligible for admission).
