Duties:

• Manage civil litigation cases from start to finish, including preparing legal documents, conducting research, and representing clients in court
• Handle a diverse caseload, with additional experience in family law, probate, and criminal defense preferred
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and contracts
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations as necessary
• Communicate with clients, keeping them updated on case progress and providing legal advice
• Collaborate with a dynamic team of attorneys and paralegals to achieve the best outcomes for clients
• Travel within a 90-minute radius of Madison for court appearances, with occasional extended travel up to hours

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation
• Experience in family law, probate, and criminal defense preferred but not required
• Active licensure to practice law in Wisconsin (Additional licensure in Iowa and Illinois is a plus)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases independently and efficiently

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Wisconsin State Bar license (Licensure in Iowa and Illinois preferred)

Skills:

• Strong interpersonal skills for effective client communication and collaboration with colleagues
