Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a highly skilled International Employment Attorney for a non-partnership track position within its Employment Group. The role involves providing employment counseling support for cross-border and global employment matters. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in international employment law and will collaborate closely with colleagues in multiple offices worldwide.

Location:

  • Palo Alto, CA

Duties:

  • Conduct employment diligence and advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions.

  • Draft and negotiate employment, retention, and related agreements.

  • Advise on reductions in force and other employee terminations.

  • Draft restrictive covenants and counsel on employee mobility.

  • Provide legal counsel to emerging companies on various employment law matters.

  • Work closely with other offices within the firm’s global employment practice.

  • Maintain flexibility and adaptability to handle various employment law issues.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in employment counseling (domestic and/or international).

  • Strong experience in cross-border and global employment matters preferred.

  • Prior experience with an AmLaw 100 law firm is highly desirable.

  • Strong academic background with immediately transferable skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a nationally recognized law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction of the office location being applied for.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

  • Proficiency in handling complex employment law matters.

  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and leadership.
