A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking a dedicated Business Immigration Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will work closely with corporate clients and internationally recognized leaders in the business immigration field, managing a team of paralegals to meet monthly case filing goals. The role involves overseeing the preparation and filing of various non-immigrant and immigrant petitions and applications, providing daily updates to clients, and staying current on immigration law developments.

Job Duties:

  • Work with corporate clients and internationally recognized leaders in the business immigration field.
  • Manage a team of paralegals to meet or exceed monthly team case filing goals.
  • Oversee all aspects of preparing and filing non-immigrant (L, H, TN, O, E) and immigrant (PERM, I-130, EB1A, B & C, I-140, I-485) petitions and applications with government agencies and consulates.
  • Provide daily updates to clients on cases and new developments.
  • Stay current on business immigration law developments.
  • Advise clients on I-9 and E-Verify compliance and corporate immigration policies and strategies.
  • Counsel clients through the PERM labor certification process.
  • Build and develop strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of business immigration experience, including with L-1 and H-1B petitions, PERM labor certification, and the full array of non-immigrant and immigrant visa matters.
  • Proven team management experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Member of any State Bar.
  • PERM experience.
