Job Overview: A law firm in Houston, TX, is seeking a skilled attorney specializing in Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) and Off-Take Agreements. The ideal candidate will provide legal counsel and negotiation expertise in renewable energy projects, focusing on electricity purchase agreements.

• Duties:

  • Advise clients on legal matters related to Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and Off-Take Agreements.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate PPA and Off-Take Agreement terms to protect clients' interests.
  • Conduct legal research and guide regulatory requirements and compliance issues affecting renewable energy projects.
  • Collaborate with clients, project developers, and stakeholders to facilitate successful agreement negotiations.
  • Manage documentation and ensure contracts meet legal standards and industry best practices.

• Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • Experience practicing law, preferably focusing on energy law, project finance, or corporate transactions.
  • Proven track record in negotiating complex agreements, particularly in the renewable energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and market trends in energy law.

• Certifications (Preferred):

  • Certification in Energy Law or related fields is advantageous.
