A law firm in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a skilled Personal Injury Pre-Litigation Attorney to manage a diverse caseload of personal injury claims. The ideal candidate will work closely with other attorneys to develop case strategies, conduct legal research, and lead case management teams in the effective representation of clients. The role involves managing all phases of personal injury cases from inception to settlement during the pre-litigation phase.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury claims from intake through settlement.
  • Conduct thorough case investigations to determine liability and damages.
  • Draft and file all necessary legal documents required for pre-litigation.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
  • Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with other attorneys.
  • Provide exceptional client service, ensuring clients are informed about the progress of their cases.
  • Lead case management teams to ensure effective representation of clients.
  • Maintain meticulous case files and documentation.
  • Monitor and manage case deadlines to ensure timely progression.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Lawyer in Good Standing to practice law in the state of California.
  • 2+ years of experience in personal injury law, with a focus on pre-litigation.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of California state laws, regulations, and legal procedures pertaining to personal injury cases.
  • Proven track record of successful case management and client representation.

Skills:

  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply legal precedents, statutes, and regulations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including drafting and reviewing legal documents, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively negotiate settlements and manage complex case details.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with a team, including paralegals, support staff, and other attorneys.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, capable of managing multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
