Job Title: Global Equity Compensation and Employment Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A prominent law firm located in Boston, MA, is seeking a Global Equity Compensation and Employment Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic Global Employment, Equity Compensation, and Immigration practice. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated team that advises a diverse clientele, including large multinational corporations and emerging technology companies, on a variety of equity compensation and employment issues.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on a wide range of equity compensation and employment matters, including compliance for stock options (SO), restricted stock units (RSU), and employee stock purchase plans (ESPP).
  • Manage and oversee securities and foreign exchange filings related to SO, RSU, and ESPP programs.
  • Advise on leaves of absence, workplace accommodations, return-to-office protocols, independent contractor classification, employment agreements, onboarding processes, performance management, and termination procedures.
  • Draft and prepare multi-country analyses, employment-related documents, and compensation agreements.
  • Conduct multijurisdictional research in collaboration with global teams and assist in delivering comprehensive analysis to clients during meetings and in written formats.
  • Collaborate on projects related to employment agreements, handbooks, bonus and commission plans, and diligence concerning equity compensation in global M&A transactions.
  • Focus on serving clients primarily in the fast-growth and technology sectors, ensuring top-quality service and innovative solutions.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in employee equity compensation or employment counseling, with a strong preference for cross-border experience.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts State Bar is required.
  • Exceptional academic credentials and strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated experience with relevant duties outlined in this posting is highly appreciated.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be admitted to the Massachusetts State Bar.

Skills:
