A law firm in Denver, CO, seeks an experienced Intellectual Property Partner to lead its intellectual property practice group. The ideal candidate will have a strong intellectual property law background and extensive experience in patent, trademark, and copyright matters.

Duties:

  • Lead and manage the intellectual property practice group, providing strategic direction and oversight.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on intellectual property matters.
  • Handle diverse intellectual property matters, including patent prosecution, trademark registration, and copyright enforcement.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews and negotiate licensing and technology transfer agreements for clients.
  • Provide legal counsel on intellectual property protection strategies, including portfolio management and enforcement.
  • Collaborate with other practice areas within the firm to deliver comprehensive legal solutions to clients.
  • Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and support staff within the intellectual property practice group.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience practicing intellectual property law, preferably within a reputable law firm.
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Colorado State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • Registered Patent Attorney or Patent Agent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Proven track record of managing complex intellectual property matters and client relationships.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in mentoring junior attorneys.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Colorado State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • Registered Patent Attorney or Patent Agent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
