Job Title: Temporary Paralegal Location: Seattle, WA H1: Experienced Temporary Paralegal in Seattle, WA H2: Job Description and Requirements The Law Firm is seeking an experienced Temporary Paralegal for a short-term assignment in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate and at least two years of litigation experience, or six plus years of experience without a degree or certificate. The position requires travel and experience in all phases of trial and trial preparation. Responsibilities: - Organize, digest and code legal documents for production, deposition or trial preparation - Prepare correspondence, memoranda and outlines for litigation and discovery projects - Draft answers, discovery requests, responses to discovery, basic motions and similar pleadings under attorney direction - Summarize, review and analyze documents, testimony, general literature, and legislative information for litigation or discovery assignments - Compile and summarize pertinent medical, scientific and litigation issues for case outlines, deposition outlines and testimony outlines - Select documents for depositions, trial exhibits or production - Obtain public information and records for parties involved in litigation - Interview witnesses and company employees - Update clients and litigation team on case status and issues - Maintain calendar or tickler system as needed - Stay updated on developments in assigned areas of responsibility and expertise - Understand the full scope of litigation and identify relevant information when reviewing documents or testimony - Travel to various locations with minimal notice - Utilize document and case management software, databases and internet sites as needed - Keep track of time and submit time records as instructed - Provide mentoring to Staff Paralegal Requirements: - Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate and at least two years of litigation experience - Six plus years of experience without a degree or certificate - Experience in all phases of trial and trial preparation - Experience with large document production, discovery, interviewing witnesses and experts, and drafting pleadings - Experience in large-scale multi-party litigation preferred - Willingness to travel Salary: - Salary is commensurate with experience Benefits: - To be discussed during the interview process If you are an experienced Temporary Paralegal looking for a short-term assignment in Seattle, WA, we encourage you to apply.
