Job Overview:
A reputable law firm is seeking a Commercial Contracting Counsel with substantial experience in handling commercial contracts to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in commercial contracting, particularly in data processing agreements and data privacy compliance. Candidates with experience in the biotech sector are preferred. The role involves contract drafting, negotiation, and providing strategic legal advice. Location:

Duties:

• Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts
• Advise clients on data processing agreements and data privacy compliance
• Provide legal counsel in industries such as biotech, as well as other sectors
• Ensure that contracts comply with applicable laws and regulations
• Manage complex contract negotiations and provide strategic legal advice to clients
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet the commercial contracting needs of clients

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working on commercial contracts
• Expertise in data processing agreements and data privacy compliance
• Preferred experience in the biotech industry
• At least 3 years of experience in contract drafting and negotiation within a law firm environment
• Ability to handle complex contract negotiations and offer strategic legal counsel

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in at least one . jurisdiction

Skills:

• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
• In-depth knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance
• Excellent communication and client management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Strong legal research and analytical skills
