Duties:

  • Handle a variety of litigation matters, including general commercial disputes, securities-related issues, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate governance, and antitrust litigation.
  • Provide counsel and representation in SEC enforcement actions and criminal or regulatory investigations.
  • Draft and analyze pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies and develop innovative solutions to client challenges.
  • Participate in court proceedings, including hearings and trials, as necessary.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys, clients, and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes.

Requirements:

  • 2-6 years of experience in a law firm or government role, with a strong background in litigation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas: commercial litigation, securities law, corporate governance, M&A disputes, or antitrust law.
  • Experience with SEC enforcement or regulatory investigations is highly desirable.
  • Federal judicial clerkship experience is a significant advantage.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple cases or projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic performance and legal research skills are essential.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in North Carolina or eligibility for admission.
