Job Overview:
A leading personal injury and property damage law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its Houston, TX office. This role involves providing compassionate representation to clients, ensuring they receive optimal care and results. The attorney will handle client communications, negotiate with insurance companies, and actively manage cases from initiation through resolution.

Location:

  • Houston, TX

Duties:

  • Meet with clients to discuss their cases, demonstrating empathy and building trust.
  • Communicate with insurance companies regarding claims, demands, and offers.
  • Evaluate claims and provide guidance on case strategies.
  • Represent clients in court with responsibility for trial proceedings (1st chair trial experience required).
  • Prepare and file necessary legal documents throughout the litigation process.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies and resolve issues.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 6 years of litigation experience.
  • Active member of the Texas Bar in good standing.
  • Experience as lead counsel in trials (1st chair trial experience required).
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to evaluate claims.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.

Skills:

  • Superb negotiation skills with an ability to evaluate claims and strategize case handling.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with clients and insurance companies.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work independently within an office setting.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is advantageous.
