Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its Denver, Colorado office. This position offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative team on diverse real estate matters, including transactional work and land use projects. The ideal candidate will have experience advising clients on purchase and sale agreements, leases, title reviews, and development-related issues. Candidates with a background or interest in land use, zoning, and entitlements are encouraged to apply.

Duties

  • Draft and negotiate real estate agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, and easements.
  • Conduct due diligence, including title review and zoning analysis, for real estate transactions.
  • Represent clients in closings, annexations, and creation of new entitlements.
  • Advise investors, developers, and borrowers at various stages of real estate projects.
  • Handle land use matters such as zoning approvals, entitlements, and land development agreements.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to develop and implement effective legal strategies.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and timeliness.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with strong academic performance.
  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado and in good standing with the state bar.
  • Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to land use and zoning projects, if not already experienced.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications

  • Active Colorado Bar membership.

Skills

  • Proficiency in legal drafting and negotiation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of real estate law, title review, and land use regulations.
  • Ability to collaborate with clients and team members effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent project management capabilities.
