A law firm in Denver, CO, is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with 4-7 years of experience to handle various civil litigation matters. The ideal candidate will possess excellent legal research, writing, and analysis skills and substantial commercial litigation experience in federal and/or state court settings.

Duties:

  • Participate in setting, executing, and managing case strategy for commercial litigation matters.
  • Prepare pleadings, written discovery, subpoenas, and other legal documents.
  • In federal and state court litigation, engage in motions practice, briefing, and oral argument.
  • Manage document discovery, review, and production, including electronic discovery.
  • Take and defend fact, expert, and document depositions.
  • Handle expert witnesses in diverse fields relevant to commercial litigation cases.
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and other alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Utilize bench or jury trial experience, if available, to advocate for clients effectively.
  • Draft client memoranda, court briefs, motions, and appellate briefings as the primary author.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with the Colorado state and federal court system.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 4-7 years of commercial litigation experience in federal and/or state court settings.
  • Possession of a license to practice law in Colorado from the Colorado Supreme Court or . states with reciprocity agreements with Colorado.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with the Colorado state and federal court system.

Certifications:

  • License to practice law in Colorado or from . states with reciprocity agreements with Colorado.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
