Job Overview: A law firm specializing in personal injury law seeks a motivated and experienced Personal Injury Attorney to manage and oversee all phases of pre-litigation and litigation personal injury cases. Job Duties:
- Manage all aspects of pre-litigation personal injury cases from intake to settlement.
- Communicate extensively with clients, manage their medical treatment, and provide ongoing case updates.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date client case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and accessible.
- Review, analyze, and organize medical records and bills for case preparation.
- Calculate damages, including lost wages, property damage, and medical expenses.
- Prepare comprehensive demand packages to submit to insurance companies.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies on behalf of clients.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other court-related documents as necessary.
- Manage all aspects of discovery and ensure deadlines are met.
- Attend mediations, depositions, court appearances, and trials as required.
- Conduct thorough legal research and stay updated on personal injury law developments.
- Lead and supervise a team handling client cases, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Handle a high volume of cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and quality of work.
Requirements:
- Preferably 1 year of personal injury law or litigation experience.
- Graduate of an ABA-accredited law school.
- Current member of the California Bar and in good standing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and possesses a strong work ethic.
- Enjoys continuous learning in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in an all Mac environment.
Education and Certifications:
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Current membership in the California Bar and in good standing.
