Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Liability Of Counsel/Partner to join its team in Buffalo, NY. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in general liability, with a strong background in legal research, drafting, and client representation. This role demands a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services, including trial preparation and attendance, with some travel required. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive file reviews and provide legal analysis of claims and causes of action.
• Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
• Meet an annual billable requirement of 1,950 hours.
• Regularly represent clients in court, at arbitrations, and during depositions.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests in a timely and accurate manner.
• Collaborate with and retain expert witnesses as necessary for case preparation.
• Prepare for trials and attend court proceedings, ensuring thorough case management and client representation.
• Maintain prompt communication with clients via email and phone, ensuring excellent client service and responsiveness.
• Adhere to firm policies and contribute to a positive team environment.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in General Liability law.
• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Admission to practice law in New York; additional state admissions are a plus.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex legal issues.
• Strong research capabilities and proficiency in drafting legal documents.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to self-manage tasks and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Commitment to responsiveness and client satisfaction, with excellent client interaction skills and a professional telephone manner.
• Willingness to travel as required for case-related matters.
