A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to join their team in Bethesda, MD. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in landlord and tenant law litigation, ready to take on cases immediately, and comfortable attending court appearances for various proceedings.

Duties

  • Assume responsibility for a caseload focused on landlord and tenant law.
  • Attend court hearings, including initial returns, evidentiary hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare necessary documents for court submissions.
  • Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and addressing inquiries.

Requirements

  • Admission to the DC Bar is mandatory; Maryland Bar admission is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Proven litigation skills and experience in a courtroom setting.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the DC Bar; Maryland Bar membership is a plus.
